Shall I write to make money or to share interesting things?
Medium partner program offers you to earn money by monetizing your content. But a lot of writers get overexcited by this. A common misconception is that it is easy to make money on medium. The truth is the opposite! It is actually very hard to earn some decent money on medium.
I have started writing on medium around a month ago. I have published a few stories, one of them is picked for distribution too. Here are my Story stats:
My earnings for this month so far are excitingly close to a dollar. And this seems to be the best month since I have joined the partner program.
This is my second month on medium as a writer. I have invested a few days to earn this handsome amount. This is not the return of investment that anyone must be looking for. But I am OK with this. I am not writing on medium because I want to earn my livelihood from it. I am writing because I like to write and share it with others.
